Dealership Case Tool Box

This tool box was owned by my Grandfather in 1925-1930's The tools are mostly for a sleeve puller although the wrench is used to remove the hubcap/bearing cover. He owned a Case Dealership and 1929 Case L which I believe this could have been used for. Has anyone seen one of these and/or have any info, comments, on it?

Sorry about not having the pictures. I guess I am to new on the forum to post images? I did post two of them on the tractor shed gallery under Parts & Pieces. Would like you to look at them "Casenut1"!

lynnz,

I don't know a single thing about any of the tools shown in the picture, however, it is a wonderful legacy for you to have something that was owned by your grandfather nearly 100 years ago.

The value of the tools and the tool box is priceless.

Thanks for the picture.

We had the same tool kit at our dealership. I believe made by oTc Tool Co. Our set had a board which mounted to a wall and it had metal straps and a metal tray to hang the assorted peices on and put the small peices in.
Your box looks to be home made, and a great heirloom for you.

Thanks for the feedback. Now it makes sense, that it could have been homemade. I inquired thru the local tractor club here in Montana and no one had seen one before, even the ole' auctioneer! Interesting, I will look up the OTC Company's history. It is a definite treasure and wanted to enclose any info inside the box. Thanks again

the tool box is a real case dealer tool box not somthing home made. I have the manual that goes with the tool kit and it showes the same tool box

Hey Dave
Do you know the history of your box and manual? What does the manual say about it? Is your box in better shape then mine? Have you ever seen any others? Any idea on the value? Not that I am interested in selling, but I am not sure how much I should clean it up as I am afraid to devalue it. Thanks for responding!

It was baught at auction throught the winter and they were a 1930 era dealer tool set. The outside of the one i have has been repainted but the inside and tools have not. not sure what it"s worth but paid under $100 for ours. you should post about this on the case sight and im sure you will get alot more information there.I don't have the book here with me to refrence right now thought
