Dearborn Implements

I am in process of restoring a Dearborn, Model 10-1, Moldboard Plow. I have replaced all necessary (wasn"t many), and am close to having the frame prepped for paint. Can anyone advise me as to the correct background colors on the manufacturing plate, and the best way to apply that background?

Thanks...I like your approach. But have a few concerns, and please pardon my ignorance. (1) How do I contact "external_link"? (2) How do I restamp the numbers(without spending a fortune on dies)? And (3) how do I re-afix the plate? The plate is mounted with what appears to be a rivet, but I think it's a round headed screw. I do apologize for asking what is probably ridiculous questions to you, and I do greatly appreciate your help

external_link is located in Wilkinson, IN and is on the web. They are very helpful and will answer any questions you may have.

I bought a cheap set of number dies at the Chinese tool store here in Seattle for about $5. If you know anyone who owns/works in a machine shop, they will have the dies as well.

I believe they provide the screws that you need with the plate.
