Dearborn Loader 19-23 Vickers Vane Pump

I need help identifying the Vickers Vane Pump model that I have on my loader. It dates back to the early 50s and has no identifying marks except "Vickers Vane Pump". All the lettering on the flat surface surface of the pump housing has worn off and there are no patent numbers on it. I'm looking for the big (about 3 1/2" dia.) O ring that goes between the two castings of the pump. The original Dearborn part number was 192557. Any help is appreciated.

Any hydraulic shop should be able match it up, or go to McMaster.com and order by precise dimensions.

Your pump looks very similar to the Vickers pump on my 19-105 loader. The tag on mine reads V250-5-6D-12-7-LH.

The following link is a forum post in which the individual states that the tag number is proprietary to Ford and is equivalent to the generic V20. If this is the case you should be able to search Ebay with "Vickers V20 seal kit" and find one or more kits.

You can stick a brand new gear pump in there for $125.00...

Shoot me an email at [email protected]. I can send you a folder of info that will help in your rebuild.

Rebuilt a few vicker pumps. Truth be told, even after a rebuild they don't work as good as or able to supply as much pressure as a new pump for about $150 or so. New pumps will push close to #3000. Vickers closer to #1500-1750 which in all actuality works just fine for the loaders.

Rebuild only if you want to keep the original going.

Nice thing, though, about those Vickers pumps is that they don't pump oil at cranking speeds making less work for the starter, especially when it is CCCCOLD, resulting in faster cranking.
