Could use help looking for value of 6 1/2' ford Dearborn plow comes complete with shoes all brackets and cables thanks

I could sell one pretty quickly here for $500. Might get a bit more.
I think they were 6' not 6.5' as the width would be measured at the cutting edge ad not by the little wings on the ends of the moldboard.

My Arps plow was $700. Good shape and all the parts but the
gentleman would not budge on the price.
I almost walked but I'm sure glad now I brought it home.
Worth every penny.

It's like anything else you get a foot or more of
snow on the ground and people go a little crazy
and the price of snowplows go up.
I myself think the price is too high but I tend to
sell thing too cheap. For that price IMO it should
be in top notch condition with a very good edge,
no waddle out egg shape holes, should have springs
with rods in good condition, frame should be
straight (dearborn or arps, cause people don't
know what they are selling), Heavy cables in good
condition.
Availability in your area could also effect the
price.
Something else to consider is that your probably
going to need some kind of counterweight or chains
to move snow effectively.

I think I paid $350 for mine. it had no shoes and the cables were not correct, but they worked. however I had to drive 5 hours each way to get it.

When I was searching it was the only one I could find.

and they are 6' at the cutting edge, at the widest point (wings) they are 7'

What you paid is really not too high. With weights and chains they make an N an awesome little snow mover.
One thing I do consider when buying an impliment like that is future resale.
Even if a guy paid that much ($750) he could use it for a dozen years, sell it off for $500 and have gotten his money's worth several times over.
It would have to be in excellent for that $ though - everything very good and all the Original brackets. Also it needs to be the snow plow blade with springs as Kirk said and not the dozer blade which didn't trip.
You'll pay $300+ for a King Kutter back blade and they sure are better than that.
