Decoding PTO shaft size.

I need to replace a tri-lobe inner shaft. Doesn't look like a local source. I can order online but am uncomfortably. There are several sizes. Online I can find physical measurements BUT they neglect to give you the points between which those measurements are made. When the shaft specs are given, such as width, where are they making that measurement on essentially a triangle tube?
TIA.

Feel free to shoot me a pm if you need any assistance. I build and work on PTO shafts for a living.

If you have the series/ tractor hp, compressed and max operating lengths the type/ profile of shafting is irrelevant for most applications.
