Deere 310D reverser not working

Hi, Old machine with original version of reverser solenoids that will not go into reverse. Problem is intermittent. Mechanic thinks it's the solenoids but replacement part for this runs more than $7K, which is more than the machine is worth. Any ideas about how to proceed? Good aftermarket supplier or used dealers? Thanks, Joe

If the problem is intermittent, it may be as simple as checking electrical connections. If parts are needed, check with Wenger's in Pennsylvania.

Thanks JD Dave. Mechanic checked the electric connections and all good except the coil controlling reverse which operates only intermittently. Looking for used one or place to purchase aftermarket version of Deere part AT163601.

Have you tried taking the coil to an industrial hydraulic shop that works on/sells valves? They may be able to match the coil up by other than the JD part number. Take along any info that might be in the manual about coil specs.

AT163601 appears to be the part number for the new complete manifold. An original parts catalog might have the part numbers for the original manifold solenoids, which you could try searching for as well.

my 310d was doing same thing i replaced the forward reverse control part number At163601 think it was around 800 or so i found this one on the web at 990.00 gulfsouthequip.com solved my problem
