Do you need to split tractor to replace pto shaft on a 4630 power shift ?

Yes a double spit is need.

Can you please explain why a double spit is required? I understand need to split between clutch housing & trans case but I can't envision double split requirement but I'm probably overlooking something.

#1 bolt needs to be removed to free the #6 gear from the shaft,,I'm getting ready to do a double split on a 4040 power shift this week

On a powershift there are two trans to
clutch housing split bolts behind the front
clutch pack.

2 bolts between clutch housing and trans case are removed from inside after removing front clutch packs.
