deere 5425 recharge air cond

how do you recharge air conditioner on deere 5425? where is the low pressure port located? what recharge equipment is needed?

Attach high & low pressure hoses to AC system. 134A hoses can only be connected to correct fitting due to different size quick couplers. With refrigerant can attached to gauges open low pressure hose allowing refrigerant to slowly enter AC system while monitoring high pressure gauge. Depending on cleanliness of AC components & ambient temp I try so limit low/high pressure to the chart below. I checked 5425 parts catalog & only located AC hose fitting on manifold on compressor.

The low and high side connections are close to or on the compressor. The prefered method of charging is to connect gauges and use a 3rd line from either a can tap or larger container of refrigerant. You can charge without gauges but you run the risk of overcharging if you're unable to monitors pressures.
