Deere 6300 hydraulics

Found a problem, why would it twist the main shaft off like this unless the destroking valve didn't work and send the excess to sump, there wasn't any signs of deadheading, engine never pulled down, just about POP while idling, I oiled pump prior to installation as to not run dry, but she's locked up internally,
Are you sure that was the right pump, if it is an open center pump that is likely the cause of broken shaft, If that is the case I hope that is all that is damaged

Who said it was open center? Someone did mention that the pump appears to be open center but he was thinking that Deere still used the radial pumps like were found on the 60s - early 90s tractors.

the radial pumps were used from the very early 60s thru the 55 series tractors I didn't say that those were the wrong pumps, just if they were that would explain the broken shaft. I have driven those tractors but have done no work on them at all

A vertical pump that appears closer to a swash-plate system .
