1989 Belarus 562. It was last run late summer of '22. So, been sitting a while. The fuel is probably 10yrs old. Had the charger on it for a few hours and was worried about the batteries (6yrs old).
But, it cranked good. But, I cranked and cranked. I stroked the throttle several times in case it was sticking in the pump (this has happened before causing it to race when it did start).
I was getting concerned but eventually it started to smoke a little and then started up. Ran fine after a few moments and I used it for a couple of hours to mow the property.
Does sitting cause fuel to drain back to the tank on these?
