Do you know of an aftermarket source for wear parts for the IH 642 rollover plow? I thought I saw a post a while back but can't find it now. Also are there any used parts yards that have plow parts out your way. I need a trip standard (LH of course) and a new LH share.

Wear parts I Can buy at our local Coop. The local hardware store(OlatheTrue Value) also sells plow parts. In IH dealer in furrow irrigated country will probably stock them.Nice thing about IH plows is they didn't change much. An old #314 uses the same parts as the newer ArtsWay plows.Contact Wiese or Adams ,they make wear parts for plows.Any Equipment dealer should be able to order some.As far as usedParts?Only place I know would be MuthWelding, and Muth Farm Equipment.AllenGoodman who posts here from time to time runs the place. Both are in RockyFord,Co. You have a bent beam? I have acctually 'fixed' one.Was bent badly. I cut it at thge bent place.Ground it out...Then bolted it to a good beamfrom the oppisite side Welded the deep groove, chipping the slag after each pass. Let it cool while bolted solid. Then 'finished' it(filled any 'divots and ground smooth)It is straight as a new one and is on my plow as we speak. I also have about 5 complete rigid beams and standards(both sides) out back on a pallet that I would sell some of.I also have most of a 642 and part of a 314 out back for parts aswell. That Rigid beam will fit several IH plows(210,314,642 and some one way plows as well.

Thanks for the info. The standard is sprung so the bottom cuts about 1 1/2 inches deeper than the rest. It's like it failed to trip when I hit a rock. Must have caught it just right as it had tripped previously and has tripped since. Broke the point off the share at the same time. We have to have trip beams here due to the rocky hills we farm.

IIRC,A new beam is over $700.00. Would be worth it to try to fix. During the off season, take one from the oppisite side to bolt the bent on to and try to weld.If you dont have the skills, find someone who does....Call me if you want.(970)417-1178.Keep trying.....Steve
