Deutz Tractor

G'day I have a deutz 4.90 and the rear lift rams won't go up and there is a warning light on the control pannel where should I search first for the problem

Welcome to the forums.

It is best you start a new thread of your own so people don't read and reply to things in the original, old thread. Include as much detail as you can about the tractor and any problems in the past with hydraulics on it.

Also where are you located?

You might not get a lot of responses here on a Duetz-Fafr Agrotron 4.90

I have never seen a post here about Deutz. I know of a couple in my area and wonder why they are so unpopular.
It looks like they were popular at one time in Iceland. When you see an old tractor parked around to look at it's often a Deutz. They use Fendt and some other tractor I can't think of right now. Zetors are very popular there, too. Here's some yard art from the town of Keflavik, where the big airport is.

Sheep are the big four-legged crop in Iceland, hence the need for a lot of mowing equipment to keep them fed in winter. Otherwise they are free range in summer, they're allowed to roam everywhere.

There was a short lived startup dealer in a small town near me. Out of curiosity I stopped by and surveyed the lot. Biggest thing that turned me off were 2 cylinder diesels, not Johnny Popper type 2 cylinder but a 4 cylinder normal block cut in half. I got in my truck and left.

This is an older thread that has been revived. The Deutz 4,90 that nick addo 1020, in Australia just asked about (see posts #23 and #25) is nothing like the ones you saw. It's a 1995-1997 88 HP tractor.
