Has anyone ever used a Devilbiss HVLP paint gun?
Are they are good gun? I have my own paint booth and I am looking at getting a new gun but dont know which model Devilbiss gun to purchase
Thanks for the advice

Devilbiss has the name, but a wide range in prices. You cannot expect an inexpensive Asian made Devilbiss to be as good as their medium to top of the line guns, but you will have easier access to parts and repair kits than you will with a no-name gun.

I do not own one. Basically the less you pay the less you get, that does not mean that you won't be satisfied. I own Sharp and Sata. The 2 Sata cost about 50% more than the 2 Sharp guns. I can tell the difference, Sata is better. That does not necessarily mean that the top of the line Sharp or Devilbiss is not competitive. What I would say, and others will disagree, is stay away from the less than $100-$150 guns if you want guns that last.

devilbiss is a good production gun. look at the gti millennium series, or the jga hvlp gravity feed guns. if you want to go top of the line, either the anest iwata lph 400 series guns or the satajet 3000 series. we use the sata's at my shop. the devilbiss are in the 3-500 dollars range, anest iwata and satajets are 4-600 dollar guns. depending on which model, some have conversion kits to shoot waterborne paint.

I have a devilbiss gun that my dad gave me for christmas two years ago. I've since painted a couple of tractors and some other odd jobs with it. It's an HVLP and I've been very impressed with it. Its easy to clean, and sprays a good pattern as long as you take good care of it. Does take a little getting used to if you've never used an HVLP before, but its not bad. Good Gun.
