Diesel Sta-Bil?

I saw some (pricy) StaBil for diesel fuel the other day. Is this a good idea for seldom used diesels? Are there other additives that are a good idea for stored diesel? My last diesel was a 70 and was used regular all year long. What do you think?

Thanks!!

I’d dump a quart of atf or two cycle oil in tank

Excellent idea to add a good brand of multifunctional Diesel fuel additive. With the removal of sulfur, Diesel fuel is not as stable as it was several years ago. Treat cost is pennies per gallon. Well worth it in my opinion. Most brands contain more than just a stabilizer.

I use Stanadyne Performance Formula Diesel fuel additive in ALL my Diesel fuel.

Check your fuel supplier, they may already treat the fuel with a performance additive package.
