Difference Between Case SC, SC3, and SC4?

What is the difference between the Case SC, SC3, and the SC4? How would one be able to tell which one they have? I've tried to research it but I haven't been able to figure it out. I was also curious why some of the SCs have a left hand clutch lever instead of the normal right hand? I bought an SC over the weekend and I noticed it had the left hand clutch. I don't think I've ever seen it before.

Let me try to help a little sc3 and sc4 was wide front or row crop narrow front. I believe there was an orchard type may be SO? There should be a tag on it maybe around instruments with a number. You subtract 4 like 48000 is a 1944 model. Up to like 1952 then it changed. Other hopefully will be of more help.

An S is the standard version, non adjustable rear end and front axle width. SC3 is either a narrow front set up or an adjustable wide front. SC4 is non-adjustable wide front. SO is basically a standard S with a few orchard features. An SC is typically referred to as any S series with any of the front axle options and adjustable rear axle for row crop purposes.

Didn't the last year SC have a foot clutch?

This is my foot clutch 1954 SC3 which came with a narrow front but I converted it to AWF (and somehow my 1953 DC3 and VAC-14 snuck in there). Such a sweet little tractor!

On the DC and sc the hood kinda curves down towards the grille. The vac is squared off. My cousin who has maybe 25 Case of that vintage got his first vac and made gussets to round that hood to the grille so it looked like the dc/sc.
