difference in heads

Letter and number at end of serial number on serial number plate indicates what fuel burner the tractor is (from factory). X1, I believe indicates a gas burner.
I think (can't swear to it), X2 and X3 indicates kerosene and distillate burners. Not sure which is which without looking at mine.
The gas burners, I don't believe had the auxiliary fuel tank, and extra hole for it in the hood (about the same size as, and directly across from air breather hole).

(quoted from post at 10:39:08 03/01/22) is there a way to look at an H and tell if it has the distilate head or the gas head with out taking anything apart

No. There is not. The part number is cast into the head, under the valve cover.
