differences between b275 and 414

Hi,

I have an '62 b275. I might have the possibility to get a 414 for the parts, are there enough common parts between both to make it worth it?

I assume both tractors are Diesels? The engines are different BD-154(414) Bore 3-1/2, Stroke 4 vs BD-144(275) Bore 3-3/8, Stroke 4, 414 has a CAV/DPA injection pump, the later 275s had the same pump but
the early ones had the Pneumatic Governor CAV pumps like the B250, also the early 275s had the old style 3pt with the single lever in front of the seat, later ones had 3pt with draft control and 2 levers
beside the seat same as 414.

Thank you, do you know if the back half parts (transmission, differential, axles etc) are interchangeable between both?

Yes, I believe all the parts from clutch housing rearward are the same but as I said before if it is an older 275 it may have the old 3pt hitch setup.
Also there may be some differences if one was assembled in Louisville, KY, USA and the other was assembled in Bradford, UK, like hydraulic pumps, power steering setup, Delco vs Lucas electrical systems.
If you live in Canada all the 275s and 414s were assembled in Bradford, UK and shipped directly to Canada, in USA most were crate units were the engine and power train were built in Bradford, UK put in a
crate and shipped to Louisville. KY for final assembly using parts that were common to the IH built 404 tractors. Also in USA there were units that were sold in Canada and later imported as used units into the
USA.
