dipstick on a model 50 tractor?

Was there an add-on kit to add a dipstick for crankcase oil level measurement on a model 50 tractor? Nothing about that is shown in the Parts Catalog.

Here are pics of two dip sticks I have, purchased from one of the members here IIRC. To be truthful I proffer the OEM style you check with a wrench.

Curious of your experience. Is the stick angle so flat that getting a reasonably accurate reading too hard?

There was one on my '51 A when I bought it. I use it as a yes-or-no indicator as to whether there is enough oil that it would flow out of the stock check fitting. I don't try to read "how much" more or less it might indicate. It is slated for replacement with the stock type when I get a 'roundtuit.

It's that age old question, do I turn the stick in until the threads seat or just let it set on top of the threads? I have even found myself removing the little dip stick and turning the devise a half turn essentially doing what the OEM level cock does. I am just so paranoid that the oil pressure fuel shutoff will leak and fill the crankcase with gas. That dipstick sits at such an angle it probably doesn't matter, just more difficult to get an accurate reading.
