Disc mower oil

Do most of you guys check the oil in your disc mower with the cutting discs folded up in transport mode or flat in mowing mode? Thanks

What Mower? What does the Operator's Manual tell you?

Don’t have operation manual. Think it is a Curtis. Checked both gear box and cutter bar. Both are fine. Thanks

Mine has little dip sticks, never even would have thought about it as everything flat, dip sticks pointing downwards of course.

Interesting question for the many different models out there.
