disk brakes

I have a massy harris 50 with disk brakes did some one switch parts with a 65?

What engine do you have? Maybe someone switched the rear end, or the tinwork.

A 50 has drum brakes inside the rear wheels. A 65 has disc brakes next to the differential and planetary final drives inside the wheels. How is your tractor set up?

My tractor has disk brakes and planetarys like a 65 from the ser.# it's a 1956. I thought stuff had been changed but yesterday's tractor shows both styles in there parts listing for a 50.

The 50 diesels had rear housing like the 65 with final drives and disc brakes.

Is it standard clearance or high arch?

A 50 massey harris or 50 massey ferguson ag tractors never had disc brakes whether gas or diesel. The newer 50 Industrial would have disc brakes. I suspect someone bolted a 65 and 50 together.
