disk mower knives

I have a nh462 mower and it looks like I have two types of blades I can use, the twisted ones (right and left twist) or just straight flat ones. I assume there is no difference if it goes right or left. I have only used the the twisted ones and was wondering if anyone out there uses the straight flat ones and if they have had any problems using them? I'd like to try them but not if you all have a bad time using them. Thanks

Use flat double sided blades on my DRUM mower. If not too battered, can swap sides of machine and use both edges of blades.

Have you ever used the twisted type? I know there is some lift but is it necessary and when? I cut hay two ft high that's not too thick but sometimes wet on the bottoms. There must be some kind of difference

I have had NH 411 & 7550H, JD 930,& Gehl 2412 and have run twisted & flat on all of them. Not a whole of differnce other then twisted will mow a little cleaner in down hay. Flat one are nicer when changing knives no rights & lefts to keep track of. Do not use TSC knives they are Junk.
