Distributor NAA 631

The NAA and 631 use different distributors because the oil pump drive is different. They can be rebuilt if the shaft is sloppy- the bushing is part number 7RA-12132-A. If the shaft is worn I think you're out of luck- the part number for a 631 is 311460 but I think it's NLA.

What is wrong with your distributor that it needs rebuilding? I thought mine was shot because the shaft wobbled around on the bench. John Smith set me straight, mount the Dizzy in the tractor and check run out. Mine was a couple of thousanths that way and was perfectly OK, no wear on the lobes either.

The other posts about the NAA using a slotted drive shaft and the later Hundred series tractors using hexagonal shaft is correct. The hex drive shafts are available.

I purchased a distributor and it says it works on multiple tractors, which is both the NAA and the 631. I have both tractors. My 631 was missing out and was heck to start and wouldn't stay running. Make a long story short, installed the new distributor and it starts right up. I can tell the old one appears more solid. That is why I am wanting to rebuild it if possible.
