Ditch Witch J20 x3

Figured I'd put these here since it's the most size-suited location & DW isn't listed elsewhere. As a package deal picked these things up last week after eying them for months & their being on FB Marketplace (other than local town page or club groups the MP is all I use FB for). Still have to go collect a 3rd one (didn't have space) which is a parts unit just missing the motor.

Had to throw my HD cylinders back on the the old '63 MF101 in order to lift them just clear of the trailer...back up...move trailer then drive straight forward to an okay spot since my PS is out (on the to-do). Hard enough steering empty but with 1500-2k lbs dangling the wheel just says NO!

By some of the decals they're former rental units. One with wheels has the THD 2-cyl Wisconsin while the other has the TJD. Neither is locked up. THD unit per the guy I got them from was the one he did make some some use of. Has hydraulic steering hence the missing wheel but the control valve has since seized & needs to come apart for cleaning. It has also lost it's distributor rotor as the cap is just dangling by the plug//coil wires & the one from the other is too big to fit under the cap. Other than that it's intact & DOES crank over with the starter (made sure it had oil first)...despite being a 2 cyl that crank over sound is unmistakably Wisconsin. TJD has an alternator mounted & was able to spin the motor over with the belt. It's dizzy is complete but is missing the rest of the ignition but as-is would be the easist to attempt to get running.

I'm in the middle of trying to figure out what make the dizzys they have are to source parts. The one on the THD the tag is badly weathered. Getting pictures is futile so going to have to read inverted since the mounting has the thing pointed downwards. The TJD's the rotor base is damaged & missing about 1/3 it's cup.

Gasket//overhaul kits are still available which is good. Just need to track down missing ignition parts. Idea is get at least one running & hopefully the second. While the things were sitting on the trailer they already got noticed so might be getting my original investment back if can get a second one going.
