Told 'em to order a new bumper and let's get it on there before the screamin' goin' on in this office causes me permanent hearing loss. :>(

I could be finding old combine or tractor parts with that money, darnit! This situation is putting my old iron projects behind!

My wife did something like that last year. She called the insurance company to report it. When I got home I noticed it was only a scratch so I called and told insurance company to forget sending an adjuster because it was only a scratch. When I got my next insurance statement they increased my premium because we "had an accident" even though it cost insurance not a penny.

well, alan, just giving you a ballpark estimate, you are looking at $1736.78 for the bumper cover painted and installed here at our shop. i figure its an 05 or newer with the obstacle warning sensors. that rear cover is $1305.15, plus labor and painting. call ia gary, see if he can get the lincoln up to our shop!!!!

My mother did something similar a couple years ago with her Jetta. Backed right into the tail board latch on the old ton. Pushed the trunk lind in and busted the tail light. That was my fault for leaving the truck there...

As pretty as you paint your tractor "projects" I would have figured you would slap some "plastic repair" on it and put the same quality paint job on it and no one would notice;-) That little bend looks like a battle scar, wear it proudly. Buuuutttt, I feel your pain!

$hut happens! Usually to me. Trust a Lincoln to cost an arm and a leg to fix. Had a 76 Mark IV for a while, had a lot of miles on it but it was a beautiful old boat. Was cheap when I bought it but terribly expensive to fix. My friends called it the pimpmobile. One day my wife had her mind on other things and pulled out onto the highway in front of a 83 Thunderbird. The end of the Lincoln, no harm to any persons. Lot of frame/weight to absorb a crash.

Funniest one I saw about two years ago. ShopRite market in Berlin, NJ. Two women in a big hurry to get no whears at the same time. They were two spaces apart on the same side of the lot. Bummer! $1800 would get a lot of parts, but on a Lincoln, just a chunk of rubber. Heck, a couple weeks back I got a sweet 71 chevy custom camper 3/4 ton with 98k original miles and lots of "whistles" for $2050. I myself am getting rid of my newer cars and trucks and going back old school,nothing newer than 72. It sure is nice to hear a solid door close once more and not get beat up from the wind with the window down!

Similar situation here! We had our last car for about 16 years and it was quite straight when we sold it.
Finally replaced it with a near new one and mother dear backed in to a tree within 3 weeks. Only minor damage, but still a battle scar.
Not happy, but after 32 years of marriage I still love her. (was pretty angry at the time though)

Your projects are getting easier. I bet someone on here could give you a better price. The real nice nice thing about this project is that it's really easy to load on the trailer. This will make it a lot easier for the couriers to haul it half way across North America. Dave
