Doctor Scratch LLC

Hi everyone, Looking for information on a company (Doctor Scratch LLC). Last information on the internet says they were located n Watertown South Dakota. They sold a cattle duster / scratcher that I need the dust container for. Is anyone on this site from that part of SD that has heard of them? They have a website and facebook page but have not answered any of my calls or emails. One of their facebook posts say they were looking to sell the company so I am assuming that may have happened or they just closed. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks, DJ

I live 30 miles from Watertown...never heard of the company. But that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

If you go to the South Dakota business information search, you can find their information. They filed their last annual report in July last year and haven't filed for 2025. The report gives the owners' names and the physical address of the company as well as a mailing address. The physical address is an unmarked building in an industrial park, while the mailing address appears to be a farmhouse.

Based on the owners' names, it's definitely a mom-and-pop operation. And their business address coincides with a company called Oleson Machining. So the scratcher business is probably a sideline to their machine shop.

SD business information search indicates that Oleson Machining filed an annual report in January, so it sounds like it's still in business. The number for Oleson Machining (605-520-0059) is the same as one of the numbers given for Doctor Scratch. I'd say they're winding down the scratcher business and focusing on their machine shop.

Thanks to everyone for their information. This site is the best source of information for unusual questions.
I have tried the number for Oleson Machining but will try again contacting the machine shop. Digging into information for the scrubber I did find a photo of the Dust Tank they used and it shows stickers with Manufactuer and Part Number so I am going to try that route also.
Thanks again, DJ

MarkB_MI, he indeed knows the right buttons and clicks to unravel a mystery. He should work for Farm Collector magazine, they are always unraveling the history behind the now defunct tractor and implement business's. good job Mark. gobble

"Dr Scratch LLC" has a website and is a company specialising in cattle dusting equipment and is located on a Watertown mail route. They have a story all about themselves but I didn't bother to read more than the beginning of it. Just Google Dr Scratch LLC.

Actually, it's more the other way around. He uses the machine shop to make parts for the scratcher kit.

Did you try one of their dealers listed?
I tried 3 of the 5 Dealers listed and got the same response from all “ we no longer deal with them since they never answer phone or return messages “. I have tried calling the machine shop number and have left a couple messages that they never return. I will try to source the dust tank from the manufacturer or a different supplier. Thanks again for everyone’s help.

I have tried that number multiple times and left messages. The recording says you have reached Besty Oleson.I have also tried the other number listed 605-520-0059 which is evidently the Machine Shop number and have left multiple messages there. Neither one has replied. I have also sent messages via their Facebook and website links. I will assume at this point they no longer are doing business and will look elsewhere for the parts I need.
Thanks, DJ
