Dodge Truck Question

Ok, I have a 2011 ram 1500 with the hemi and remote start package. The truck is about 6months old and just recently it started having a problem where it doesn't want to turn over from time to time. I thought it might be a bad neutral/park switch as if I put the truck in neutral it will turnover and start, but was told by the dealership that this truck doesn't have that. So my questions is has anyone else had this problem? Any insight into what it could be? The dealer can't recreate the problem, and since there are no codes they claim they can't do anything about it until they can prove there is a problem.

Frustrated to say the least at this point.

I have a 2011 Ram 2500 with the hemi, and the same thing has happened to me, twice. Each time I fiddled with the key, wiggled on the shift lever, and after a couple minutes it started. I still don"t know what I did to get it to start. And I never took it to the dealer. I just hope it doesn"t happen again for a while! BTW, my pickup has only 8700 miles on it.

Dictionary definition of Dodge - to avoid.

Sorry guys I just couldn't resist! My chevy has it's quirks too. Sometimes the key won't turn in the ignition until you wiggle it back and forth a few times. It's only got 24000 miles on it!

My 94 f250 hasnt had any of those quirks! It only has 89000 on it. Just brakes locking up with trailer and tractor up hill and a line of traffic behind me 70 miles from home!

Does anything work when you turn the key on. Had to help a DNR warden once in the middle of woods, after he gave me a ticket. I swapped the a/c relay with the starting relay and truck took right off.

My 99 F250 had a similar problem I would try to start it and it would turn over but very sluggish the dash would go blank but the theft light flashed fast!! So I figured battery was bad so i checked it it was fine so i figured the computer was bad but I checked fuel pressure and spark first (gas burner) had nothing so by this point I was stumped finally got out my owners manual and turns out I had to many keys on my key chain (never bothered it until now)and was causing a glitch in the microchip in the key I took all the keys off and it started like it always has with no more problems to date thats just something to check if u haven"t already well good luck

Mine is 6 months old and I really like the truck, this is my first dodge, been a chevy fan forever but the big back seat, ram boxes, and tow ratings all helped to win me over.

However, dealship customer service is dismal at best in my neck of the woods.

When the problem happens, no codes flash, everything lights up just fine, its like a saftey switch is triggered. I am convinced it has to do with the remote start module, however since the system is flashing codes and the dealer can't recreate the problem on demand there's nothing they can do or so they claim.
