when i start my 8n 1950 tractor i let it warm up a bit but when i try to move if i don’t put the throttle on high it tends to die out, after awhile the engine seems to be ok is this a carburetor adjustment issue! it idles ok on low throttle , is there two adjustment screws on that carburetor, it’s a four cylinder

Hi Amsterdam. welcome to the forum.
To answer you question, yes there are two adjustment screws on the carburetor. The smaller on right near the top is the idle mixture adjustment and the larger one at the rear where the fuel line enters is the main fuel mixture. I wouldn't fool with the idle mixture from what you say, but you might try turning the main one out (ccw), 1/8 to 1/4 turn and see if that helps.
When you say you have to move the throttle to high, do you mean it wants to die out on anything less than full throttle? I know on all three of my old tractors I have to increase the throttle some to get it going.
Let us know if that doesn't help. It may not be carburetor related at all.

no it idles ok at lower side of throttle , i just give it full throttle to help it keep from dying out, but hey thanks i’ll try that adjustment and let you know,
