A rare case of success with an ''easy out''.

Doesn't happen very often, IMHE!

(NOT my project, found the photo somewhere on the 'net.)

The easy outs I have work almost always and I have only broke the smallest ones in the set but there not a cheap set. They cost me around $75 20 or so years ago

depends upon access t the broken faster and if it is frozen in place.
I like busting the EZ out off inside the fastener that you are attempting to remove.
Done that one yet?
Fun times.

have some that are probably over 50-60 years that are not broken.........because they have never been used. I don't have the broken ones any more!

That has never worked for me. Always end up completely drilling the bolt out. Happened a couple weeks ago when I replaced front axle support on my 8N. Cost over $100 for a Mapp gas torch kit, left hand drill
bits and screw extractors, the used axle/radiator support alone $50 including shipping.

It worked for me just recently .

I did find that the extractors with finer grooves bite in and engage more securely than the coarser ones .
