was using my South Bend lathe to make a sleeve. About 2 and a quarter OD. Drive belt broke. Leather, 1/4 X 1 inch. Had to finish with my older powrkraft lathe. Poor old belt, must be original, 70 years or so. Mcmaster-Carr sent me a new one. We good.

Does anyone know if McMaster-Carr has a paper catalog still

they do, but you have to be a very good customer to get one. the i thumb through once in a while is about 12 yrs old i believe. still pretty relevant however.

I can imagine that would have to be quite the book and most places are trying to get away from catalogs it seems

Did you send them the length needed or did they have a selection? Is the new one leather or 'belting material'? How did you fasten it together? Asking because i will soon face the same thing. Thanks.
