Doolee's for your tractor

Donald,
I really don't care if my post annoys you or not.

Flat out.... this is a stupid idea and anyone with a "LAWN TRACTOR" should ignore it.

There isn't a "lawn tractor" made that was designed to accept dual wheels because the loading that duals cause on the trans-axle is far, far greater than the manufacturer of that trans-axle anticipated when he engineered it. Your kits are nothing more than a recipe for bent axles and premature failure of the axle bushings thanks to the leverage that the outside wheel imposes on those items.

At best, your advertisement is mis-leading but I guess that greed and personal gain are more important to you than creating something that will bring no harm.

YES... there WERE TRUE GARDEN TRACTORS that did offer dual wheel kits but those were not LAWN TRACTORS......which happens to be the phrase you use repeatedly in your ad. If YOU don't know the difference between a Lawn Tractor and a Garden Tractor, then I suggest you go do some research and find out. And while you are at it, try finding ONE brand of LAWN TRACTOR that ever offered a dual wheel kit.

The notion that putting the chains on the outer dual to solve clearance issues is also bad advice. That notion is predicated on the outer wheel constantly staying in contact with the ground at all times and not being lifted off the ground by the inner wheel. Once the inner wheel supports the tractor, the chains are useless and you will sit there spinning the wheel with the least traction.

As for the other allegations made in your ad. If your property has spots that are too wet to mow with a tractor, then use a string trimmer. Front tires will create ruts in soft ground too.

If you have hills on your property, then you don't mow cross-grade .... you go up and down because that's the safe way. Every Op Manual written tells you that.

Dual wheels do not increase traction, they reduce it. The only purpose behind duals and triples is to reduce the pounds per square inch of pressure that machinery exerts on the soil. Anyone who has ever tried to plow snow with a dual wheel one ton, knows that they are better off by removing the outer tires from the rear axle.

While duals will give you more stability if you are forced to mow cross-grade, you run the risk of sliding out of control on the slippery grass due to the reduced pressure on the tires. Using Ag style bar-tread tires that are loaded with RimGuard and have a full compliment of wheel weights is a far better method of dealing with mowing cross-grade.

If someone did want to run duals on their tractor wouldn't these be a better deal at half the price?

No..... he's not the maker of those kits.

He's just pointing out that someone else is offering to do the same thing as you but for half the price.

Another major difference between YOU and the OTHER Vendor is that he does not tell people that his kits are for LAWN TRACTORS, like you do repeatedly in your e-Bay listing. He sells his kits for GARDEN TRACTORS. Of course.... this difference is something that you either choose to ignore or fail to understand. That Vendor knows that dual wheels do not belong on Lawn Tractors and he refuses to entice LT owners to buy his product, like you do.

It's called "having a social conscience" but it's never too late for you to grow one.
