double stack weight

What does just the one large starter double stack weight weigh (without side mounts)? Came out in mid/later 1960's.

Thinking more like 170# is close enough for government work as I believe the single pads weigh 85 lbs. Bet Tx Jim knows....

Aftermarket one we weighed is 160# but is not near as beefy as the JD original. GM or 2 Cyl had 320# listed for an article on weights, but can't believe that's right for just the weight. That probably includes the mount arms.??
I did find the 220# listed in a 4020 manual too, so wonder if that is just the weight only. Don't believe either that the mount arms are 50# each, but haven't picked one up for a long time. So- somewhere between 220 & 320!

I didn't find weight spec's in JDparts.com but I'll bet front double weight weighs close to 200#s maybe more. I remember mounting them on tractors and they're heavy.

Attachment catalog lists two. One is 85 lbs with sides the same weight each. The other is 125 lbs with the sides at 100 lbs each. Auxillaries go up to 250 lbs.

I weighed mine after I sanded them all 230# for double pad,50# each for side rails,83-85#for pads. Do yourself a favor figure what you need for hardware and weigh them you will be surprised what all the bolts and nuts add up to.

In the mid 60s, it should have been the thinn cast plate that goes in front of 5020, on the cast iron side weights. Pretty rare attachment
