draining oil in trans

I have water in the gear lube in my 44 H i know there is a drain plug in the front of the trans will this drain the trans completely or is there another plug i have to pull to drain it good

Rear end and transmission make up one case and use the same oil. To drain all fluid remove both plugs. Should be another plug on lower side of rear end. The plug your referring to, is a low spot where fluid will end up being trapped if only the lowest plug on rear end is taken out.
Common for these to get water inside. Rain water seeps through the platform mounting bolts which are recessed below surface of platform.
I have just left tractor sit for a long spell (water will seperate to the bottom) and loosen plugs so they will just drip, when water drips out and turns to oil dripping out, tighten plugs. Saves from changing the expensive oil out (it holds a lot). But maybe you personally just want to change it and have new oil.

I have drained water out a time or two so far the reason i want to drain completely is the water freezes and when i start the tractor ( its main job is to plow snow) it sometimes will stall when i let the clutch out right after starting so i start a little fire under the front drain plug and after about 5 minutes i am off and plowing snow

Water and oil will seperate. Oil to top, water to bottom. It will do this in a transmission/rear end case, the same as it will in a glass on your kitchen table during an experiment. LOL.
But the deal is, you got to leave tractor sit for say, several days because the gears will mix the oil and water up. Kind of like putting oil and water in a blender before you do the experiment.
But sounds like your mind is already made up. You'll have to take out both plugs to entirely drain the fluid to replace with new oil. Wish I was your neighbor. I'd discard your old oil for ya for free. And put it right in my M that needs a seal and is leaking.
