Got an armfull of reasons why I'm late planting but goterdone Saturday at dark. Spent over 9 hours on tractors that day going over this field. It had grown up into a two foot tall (38 acres) weed patch being late in season. The 800B was actually a fun drive be it a long one. The dust wasn't too bad as I out ran it in 6th gear, using the Case-omatic on turns. The brakes got used hard enough to smell the hot discs. A neighbor had asked me in March if he could farm the place so, knowing he was watching, I put on a show of what an old man could do with a 68 year old tractor.
