Well not really but WHY ??? And how it would work out and how it would start and run. the head from a 986 will bolt on as it is a non turbo head and flow in a non turbo head is different , now as for pistons a turbo piston is different and how it would work with out the turbo

I want to put it in a Farmall 460 and in this area they have to be NA
Well sorry to say i do not have my old progressive size books anymore to go digging engine parts that ya can make fit . my days of building a monster out of pure junk are long gone . Fifteen years ago i did house cleaning and threw out all the old machine shop books i had dealing with engine parts . Last monster motor was a 6 Cylinder M M that used old G M 6 cylinder pistons and Mack liner spec's building a almost 1000 CU . In. engine . That ended up being banded by the cry babys getting there lunch handed to them week after week . a non turbo running against turbos and out the gate every pull on Gas . I did not build motors for just anybody . I did not want the fan fair . Same as when i did the drag racing thing . I worked in just a hand full . I had a life beyond and working on the ONE's took up three to four days a week after a long day at the dealership . Tuesday thru Thursday at the house from 6 till 11 working on others and from 8 to 5 at the dealership five days a week along with Friday Saturday and Sunday at drag strips left little time for shell we say time with my girl friend . The dealership at the time ran two cars on the drag strips and it was my job to keep them on top plus i drove one of the cars . . Then i found tractor pulling and dove into it , just basic stock with a dead horse that we made better and bucked heads with much bigger tractors , won some lost some but it was fun and not much money . The route yiour taking to try and get that full pull is now going to cost you some green stamps . And a bunch of break downs and adding a 466 into a 460 a lot more weight all in the nose and into a basic H rear end . I would set back pour two fingers of Al-KI-HOL and rethink this . Can it be done sure if i can build a out the gate tractor from dumpster diving of old junk parts yea you can . I need a machinest who will work for you for free of chump change then ya need a progressive size book to find what will make fit . You will need atleast a 15- to 17 to one compression ratio , a head that will flow the air pistons that will light the fuel and burn it a pump that ya can play with to get what you want at the RPM's allowed . With me at may age all my old BUDDY"S are under the dirt and my machinist is gone now some 20 years , my pump man died four years ago so here i am the last man standing as all my old friends have passed .
