Has anyone ever heard of a JD H with "factory duals"? Supposedly, this machine had a longer rear axle from the factory which makes it capable to put 4 seperate hubs on it.

The rear axle doesnt need to be longer to put duals on. Two hubs will fit on each side fine. Turn the inner dual in and the outer one out.

These both face the same way

The rim will bolt on either way to the hub, it doesnt matter. When we had duals on my dads H, the inner wheels were slid all the way in with the hub clamp to the outside and then the outer hub was facing in.

I dont think it was a factory option, but a dealer could have ordred an extra set of wheels and hubs if a customer needed the floatation.

Extra long rear axles were an option on many tractors to permit wider wheel spacing but they could easily have been used to mount duals also. For example, my Farmall 350 has the long axle option which according to the book allows for a 111" tread width. Unfortunately, I have my wheels set at 60" and have to be REALLY careful as there is a lot of axle sticking out beyond the tires that would wreak havoc on my shed doors, fences, and anything else I got too close to!

This is a picture I found in the JD 365 day calender. It shows one way to mount duals. With a harrow front tractor I would mount the outer rims the other way and put the hubs closer together to reduce the distance between the tires and reduce the overall width of the tractor. Sorry about the quality, it's a picture of a picture.
