E/I distributor cap

I was looking through the parts catalog on this site in preparation of buying parts for an engine rebuild of a front mount 8N. I noticed distributor cap 124XTCAP used for E/I was $27.95. A regular front mount cap 9N12106C was $10.70. I converted my 1949 front mount 8N to E/I but don't remember anything different about the cap. Anyone know how they are different and why the E/I cap is almost 3 time the cost of a regular cap?

It's a Pertronix part #. (Pertronix = $$$$, just because they can!)

It has a tapped hole drilled into the terminal pin at the top to fit the remote coil adapter plate Pertronix sells as an option to their EI kit.
