Early 830?

Ive got an 830 com 1960 model.Ive got owner and shop manuels.All books Ive got show a spin on oil filter for rearend under back of left floorboard yet mine has none.Wassup?ser no. is 8160583 Thanx Hoss

Your oil filter is below pto shaftat rear of tractor. It is inside tractor. Drain oil than remove 3 bolts on cap in front of drawbar support.there an you will find a edge wound paper filter in there. Be careful an dont damage it. Replace with new if avaible otherwise you may have to wash an reuse. There is about 4 gallon of case tch oil in there if a early 830-if one of later it will hold 18gal.930with draft o matic had spin on filter under left floor board. 830 with draft o matic probably did also.
