Early Oliver 77 Row Drop

Last year my dad bought a 77 row crop. It was in rough shape, but we wanted to save it from getting parted out so he bought it. This tractor has the pto lever on the left side yet, and the seat is the old rigid type with a backrest. I do realize that this would make it more of an early one than anything. My real question is there is no shift pattern on the dash. There are no holes in the dash where a plate would get bolted to. Did the early ones have a sticker for a shift pattern or what? I HIGHLY doubt that someone welded the holes shut. Who would take the time to do that? Email is open as well.

I'm afraid I can't answer your question. I have an early 77, the 279th one ever made and it has plate with the gear shift pattern on the right side of the dash. However, I can tell you that you have excellent taste. Oliver tractors and Pontiac cars. Nice. I liked you photos. Especially the cars. Kind of makes me wish I kept my 79 Trans Am. I still have my 97 Grand Prix GTP even though I bought an 08 Grand Prix GXP.

Well thanks 3-71 fan. I am very sorry to report that I have sold both of those cars. :-(
I am still kickin my self for getting rid of both cars. I still have the pics though. Im glad you liked them. I didnt realize that there was 2 people out there who are fascinated with Olivers and Pontiacs at the same time??!! Sooo, what do you think about Chevy trucks??
