Ebay seller

Has anyone used Wildcats46 - Wildcats Wholesale Lawn Equipment on Ebay. They appear to have been in busness a long time and high positive feedback.
I wouldnt normally worry too much and just try them out for parts under $100, but I need a gator diesel engine. They have a couple new crate engines for quite a bit less than anywhere else.

Anything I should watch out for?
Thanks, Grant

Every purchase I make on ebay is with guaranteed satisfaction from them, not necessarily the seller.

Most sellers go out of their way to get 5 star results as ebay frowns on anything less. As a result, most every site has a disclaimer indicating that they want to and will work with you to come up with an equitable solution in case of a disparity. Most take returns. Those that don't are ones that bought out an auction, like an estate auction, and have no use and no way to deal with returns. I had a couple of variations from normal in my many purchases the last couple of years.....probably 200 or total purchases, amounting to several thousand dollars and have not had to zap one seller.

2 of my purchases were BS vertical shaft engines, 18 and 20 hp V twin, new but from surplus manufacturing or such. Engines hadn't been mounted as the mounting slots were untapped....engines mount with self tapping screws on the lawn tractor assy lines. One had a JD sticker another had the sticker removed. Course all the engine info is stamped on the valve cover so you can easily find out the particulars. Both worked flawlessly and I am enjoying them today.

My opinion? Go for it.

I recently purchased parts for my bulldozer, I got them wherever I could. I had the best service, prompt shipping from sellers on eBay. I always check their feedback to see what people say about them.

Thanks guys. I will give them a call in the morning to verify and make sure about shipping. They have a 99% satisfaction rating and a huge amount of transactions. If it all seems fine I will get it bought and hopefully get this gator runing again.
Thanks, Grant

Not unusual for these mega sellers to have some negative feed back. Use pay pal and ebay and you have some buyer protection.

If they don't have several hundred feedback, read the description very carefully.

I bought a set of Gabriel shocks for a freightliner, seller had an odd number available, like 7 or 9. Couple dozen positive feedback. Must have got them in a close-out or something.

Nope

Cheap Chinese knock-offs. Even used pics of actual Gabriel parts. Had me send them back to a different address, and refunded my money.

Had another seller not send out a saw flywheel. Sent me the wrong box, it never arrived. After it was too late to leave feedback, he refunded my money.

read the description very carefully.

Best advice .

Read every word .

Paypal does a good job protecting the buyer if the item is misrepresented . Sometimes the fine print lists no warranty or "as is" . Ask a question and save the reply if you need more detail then if there is a problem Paypal will help you . Ask if you can get a pic of the actual item , etc if you have a gut feeling on anything .

Post the auction number so we can look it over. Seller with thousands of sales bad feedback has little meaning. Usually foreign sales unhappy.
