I was going to do some bearing shopping for my flail mower, on EBAY. It appeared to me EBAY is gone. Anyone know what happened? Stan

I was just there, sign-in is much more secure now, requiring 2-step verification if you don't already have that. I have FireFox browser with multiple add-blockers and tracking blockers.

I just went to eBay and although I had to first log in, which I haven't had to do in the past, I was able to get to the site. I didn't have to use two-factor authentication, probably because I've recently used this computer to make a purchase.

Edit to add: First restart your computer and try again. If no joy then…
Hopefully you know what the “address bar” of your browser is. It is the long box near the top with https// followed by a long line of gibberish letters, numbers and symbols. When you open the browser highlight everything in that box and delete it, usually just placing you cursor in it and starting to type does this. Then type ebay.com in there and hit enter. This will take you to the eBay home page. If you are used to using a saved link to take you directly to your eBay account and sign you in and you don’t know how to create a new link someone will probably need to do that for you. This is needed because as others said there was likely an upgrade to the security protocol to sign in to eBay.
Usually if you are searching for a specific bearing by its number if there are options available from eBay they will come up in your search results. If you want to be certain eBay is included in your search type eBay in the search box along with the bearing number.

The administrator has enacted many new security features to better protect both buyers and sellers. It will require adjustments until we learn the new way. AFAIK the home page has completely changed.
I must always use 2-factor ID because of my browser configuration preferences.

They must be rolling out the change selectively, I just went there using Firefox bookmarks to get to an item I have listed and my summary. No changes yet.

No change here at all. Just went there, did not need to log in, as it said hello to me by name when I loaded the page. Win 11 desktop PC.

I just tried Ebay. It was a little screwy buy I got in. I tried to look at my "purchases, new and old like it used to show. It showed a few but they were from 2024. There is no way to change the date to view current stuff. What the hell did they do to this thing?

I just looked at Orders (purchases I made), at the right side, above the list it says See Orders: Right now, it says All ant everything is there. I can pick the last 6o days or a given year from a drop-down list. If that is missing on yours, you might want to log out and log back in to see if it corrects itself.

That means you did not log-out previously.

Correct. So I signed out and back in. They made me enter a number they texted me, in addition to my password. Then I logged back out and signed in again. The second time they only asked for my password. Closed my browser, reopened it and went back. I was still logged in. If the sky is falling, it sure doesn't weigh much.

I just tried Ebay again. I tried looking at orders again. I saw the drop list where I could pick year. It went all the way to 2026. I clicked on 2026 again and as far as ebay knows, it only shows order from back in 2024. I logged in and out twice more and, same thing. It seems that they lost my whole history after 2024.

Funny thing, I can go on my cell phone and look up Ebay orders and it shows my current orders.
