electric fuel pump

Looking to get an electric inline fuel pump for a John Deere. Carb won't keep up currently with gravity feed. How many gph min do i need? I see some cheap 35gph pumps out there, but don't know if that's enough fuel flow.

I don't know how big your jd is but tractor data shows gasoline model jd 4020's only using 8-9gph at full drawbar pull so I would think a 35 gph pump would keep up fine.

Use a low pressure 4-5psi pump.may need a pressure regulator to prevent flooding.
I"m surprised however. Normally if you open the drain plug in the fuel bowl. They will run a steady robust stream of fuel until the tank goes empty.

Constant fuel pressure from a pump will also help with tuning.

The best pump I have found is a Facet Cube, which is a diaphram pump you can get them through Carquest

part numbers are

CPF 41500 = 4-7 psi at 35 gal/hr
CPF 41501 = 1.5-4 psi at 30 gal/hr

Do not buy any other diaphram pump or you will have problems with them, a Facet will give you years of trouble free service.

The duplex carb doesn't seen to flow fuel really great.

I've removed the strainer, drilled out the banjo fitting a bit larger, drilled the seat a bit larger, and drilled the main jets.

It runs much better now, but is by no means over fueling.

I want to install an inline filter, and figured a little boost from an inline pump would help.

go to your JD dealer and get an electric pump for 9500 combine. Part# AH130127. I've used this pump on everything from tractors to pickups.

Did you know that is a Facet fuel pump? What does mother Deere charge?

2-3.5 psi is all it takes. Anymore and it will push by needle. I've done quite a few two barrel carbs if you call me I can prob give you some ideas.

There is both the jet and nozzles which meter fuel. Did you work on both.
How long does it take to run a gallon of fuel out the carb bowl drain? Have you spun the sediment bowl out of the tank and located the screen? Or found dirt in the tank

Is this some 800+ cu" monster running on Methanol? Or a G just running gas pistons and a cold intake manifold?
