electric start on rc

I have a Case RC with hand crank. Heard a rumor that the starter on a SC would fit on an RC. I am posing the question if the starter from a SC would fit on the RC and then would the ring gear from the SC also fit on the RC. The tractor runs fine if it is pulled to start but not starting off the crank and besides I am getting too old to crank it.
Any help regarding putting a starter on a RC would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for any comments regarding this.

Yeah I got too old to crank about 20 years ago, when a kick back made my one arm 3 inches longer than the other. lol gobble

I am going to try that set up my self soon. It appears that the ring gear from a VAC will fit on the RC fly wheel. I hope to be putting the tractor back together next month and I will post the starter saga and see if it works. Steve

The starter from a SC will work just fine. A ring gear from a WD Allis will work. I don't know if the VAC ring gear will work. Good luck.

Im 70 and ive cranked my granddads 34CC Case since I was 12, and also crank a 40 B Farmall. Im still farming with both and a 48 H Farmall and 51 VAC Case.
