Electrical Question 930 CK

I've decided to install a buzzer wired to an oil pressure switch so when I shut the hand throttle down I will no longer forget to shut the key off Hard on the batteries!!! The 930 has an oil pressure idiot light on it, but at one time I think someone removed the pressure switch and installed an actual pressure line and guage, which works good. There are three plugs on the right side of the engine, all in a row and about a foot apart. The first one has the oil pressure line installed that goes to the guage. The second one is a line that provides crank case oil to the injector pump for lubrication, I believe. The thrid one, closest to the front, just has a plug in it. Will that location work for a pressure switch, and does anyone know what size the thread is? Thanks a lot for any assistance!

A tee in the one that is used for the gauge would sure be easier. That is the way Case did it with a oil pressure activated hour meter.

Well, here's what I did. Went to an auto parts store that was actually willing to do a little looking around for me. Found an oil pressure switch that was "normally closed", so when pressure was applied it would open the circuit and make the buzzer stop going off. Wired a 12v buzzer from radio shack to a terminal on the ignition switch that was only hot with the key in the run position, and wired the negative lead to the oil pressure switch. Now when I shut the tractor down with the hand throttle, as soon as the oil pressure drops the circuit closes and the buzzer goes off until I shut off the key. By the way, the plug on the side of the tractor that I screwed the switch into is 3/8 NPT. Works good!
