Has anyone switched out from points to an electronic ignition? I'll recently ordered a kit which will be here tomorrow and just looking for some thoughts. Thanks in advance.

imple enough....just read and follow instructions.

I recently installed a pertronix 6v positive ground electronic ignition. Very easy, just follow the instructions and don t wire it up through the ballast resistor. Mine starts sooooo mich better now!!!

Why do you need to find tdc? I was under the impression and according to the book it can only be installed one way.

Why do you need to find tdc?

Because I can and to see how close it would be going by their instructions.

The trigger mounts to the points plate the points plate is adjustable just as original. Instructions read set the point plate in the middle of the scale in my case it was close enoufh in your case if you do not locate TDC how would you know...

I will wager its gonna be in the ballpark but that's your call...

I would do the spark plug wires along with a set of NGK spark plugs... I hope you are doing away with the original square can coil if you are going EI go for the kill with one shot...
