Electronic Ignition Install Problem

It's Saturday morning and YT parts is closed. I have an installation problem with the electronic ignition kit I just purchased from them and perhaps someone can help me out.

The magnet cannot be pushed down far enouch. It hits the small bolt that connects the upper breaker plate to the lower breaker plate. As a result, the dust cover hits the magnet and it will not seat.

Perhaps I can file enough off the bolt to make it work, leaving only one bolt connection between the upper and lower breaker plates.

Any other advice would be appreciated.

Sorry if this is a repost. I posted the question for the first time about 15 minutes ago and it didn't show up on the board.

Thanks for everyone"s input.

The problem is solved. The tractor is a 2000, 3 cylinder gaser. Apparently a previous owner installed a dust cover that fit but was not from a 2000. The inside of the cover has a protrusion that extends down into the distributor and hits the magnet. The correct cover solved the problem.
