How many of you have lost land due to eminent domain. Between my great great grandfather my great grandfather and my grandmother we lost over 3000 acres do to eminent domain. most of the land being in the family since 1649 The Navy took about 875 acres Army ordanance Depot took about 1000 acres BWI air port took about 200 acres and interstate 695 took about another 1000 acres and trust me 50 years ago they weren't to generace with the compinsation. When they put 695 thrue my uncles farm they took 1000 acres just to put a road thrue and sold off the remaining land to an oil company for a nice property. My grandmother and my uncle never got bitter. And i know my story is a common one. Where ever there is an interstate or an airport or military base there is people loosing there lands,homes,cemetarys
