On 11/4/21 I requested assistance from the forum with knock in engine after it was rebuilt, engine knock. I found the culprit. The rod on no. 4 was oversized for some reason. I put in another old rod and cap, torque to 40 lb. Noted a slight more effort in rotating the engine with hand crank. Everything was fine. Just shows some of the problems you can encounter with a no history tractor. Apparently face of rod and cap was not honed to specs. Thanks for all replies.
