Engine Lock up

I am having a problem with a 172CI ford tractor engine. I can turn the crank about 150 degrees then it will lockup, I can spin it the other way and it will lockup at about 150 degrees. I thing that it has a stuck valve. Anyone have any thoughts on this problem. Not seeing any water in oil but the previous PO could of change the oil before i bought it. PO told me that it has set outside in woods for about 6 yrs. Said it had a rear seal leaking and thats why he parked it. Thanks for any help.

(quoted from post at 22:44:45 07/18/20) Have you pulled the valve cover and checked to see if all the valves move while turning it over?
I will check that tomorrow got dark today. I think my next move is to remove valve train.

I had that problem years ago on a 2N i bought. Mine turned out to be a broken valve just laying on top of the piston

Gas or diesel?

If gas, have you pulled all of the spark plugs when you try to turn it?

If diesel, same thing with the injectors?

as. I have the plugs out. Same problem, I will remove the head this morning. That should show me the problem.

My buddy bought a 172 industrial diesel a
few years ago. Seller said it was a good
running engine. Got ready to install it
and it would turn over fine then stop.
Not a hard metal to metal stop. A soft
stop.
Valves were all going up and down as they
should. We pulled the head and found the
cylinder had a bunch of corn in it.
Cleaned out the cylinder and emptied out
the intake manifold which had a couple
cups of corn in it and replaced the head
gasket. Darned mice!
Seller was truthful - it was a real good
running engine.

(quoted from post at 15:39:19 07/19/20) Top valve cover. Side cover on 8n.

Problem solved. #4 piston had some Rust build up not any sign of water. I just made a mixture of diesel and oil soaked down the pistons for about 1 Hr. Turned the crank with a little force and it broke free. Now I need to decide what to do next. My problem it the tin I need everything except the piece that has the gauges in it. I live in Panama City FL but will travel to pick up some. Any help on the tin would be appreciated. My tractor a 1992 ford 841 172 cu inch motor.
