Is it running rich, some black smoke? Turn load needle in a little to see if it helps.

Fuel supply to the float bowl is the first assessment needed. there should be a drain plug in the bottom to allow filling a clean can. 1 to 1.5 pints in 2 minutes will work. If that is the case, (no pun) then the main jet may be partially plugged. Point setting is also important to check. Jim

I failed to add I put electronic ignition in it to

Now you need to check one thing at a time as you work through all the changes. Also test each thing as you check them.

Do you still have the steel wire spark-plug wires on the tractor. They will not work well with an electronic ignition.

Pull your choke out slowly and see if it runs better or worse, that will help determine whether it's fuel related. If it's getting adequate gas it will try to die, too little and it will run better.
