Engine size

Hello guys I'm back again , and still can't figure out what engine is in my 1968 MF. It is a 4 cyl gas eng. The numbers on the block are really lite except for Z1 then the next three or so lite but look like 135. I was told before these numbers should be 134 or 145 , but after several inspections with magnifying glass it still looks like 135 to me.Is there any other
way I can tell what eng this is. I'm trying to order a rebuild kit for the engine ,but get confused when I go to this site to order.can anyone help Thanks Willy.

What"s the nodel number of the tractor? Do you have any serial numbers? They can help identify which engine is on your tractor

The MF Z"s were Cont"ls, coming in 120,129,134 and 145"s (and a possible ZD129) per my Cont"l list and several MHF catalog sections...
Take off whatever casting etc numbers you find and check with either:
Garrad (Jerry) Moon (garradmoon@[email protected]) (Montes Eqpmt, Chicago, Old Cont"l parts dealers), or
parossmachinery.com (Dallas) Cont"l parts dealers; either should be able to ID your engine. Good luck.

You will need the engine disassembled and the crank checked prior to ordering your engine kit. At this point you can simply measure the bore and stroke to determine which it is. Z134 = 3.3125x3.875 inches Z145 = 3.375x4.062 inches

I was in a huge hurry myself but followed my machinists instructions and saved myself a load of money. YTmag had an entire engine kit in my living room exactly 1 day and 16 hours after I ordered the kit. I had parts to my machinist a week before he would have if he had ordered through his supplier. I should mention that he now orders through YT. My parts were better quality than what he could get.

He cleaned/checked my block, pressed my sleeves and piston pins, rebuilt the head, and ground my crank .010 undersize for $480.
